If you have an easier time remembering the Wifi password than your kid’s middle name (Bobby? Beauregard? Something like that…) you may need to unplug for a few and head out with those little ones-whatever their names are. Newbury Park Whether or not you think Channing Tatum looks like a mutant Rick Astley in the movie “Jupiter Ascending”, Jupiter is having it’s star turn this weekend as it reaches it’s closest point to earth. Join up at the Satwiwa Cultural Center in Newbury Park this Friday, February 6th, from 6:30 to 8pm to check out the large planet with others who can point you in the right direction. It’s outdoors, so bring a flashlight, chairs, and dress warmly. P.S. If you got the Rick Astley reference, you’re old. Sorry to break it to you. Reading to the Dogs Calabasas We all know that your dogs can’t read to you, but you can read to them-and your kids can as well at the Calabasas Library’s program “Reading to the Dogs”. This Saturday February 7th, and the First Saturday of every Month, your child can read to therapy dogs through the Paws For Healing program between 11:30 and 1:30pm. Sign ups for a 15 minute session begin at the Calabasas Library at 11 am, and you can call 818.225.7617 extension 2 for info. It’s silly, of course, do think that dogs could read to YOU. They can, however, sing to you. And possibly even read your thoughts… I Heart Old Navy Valentine’s Day Festivities Santa Monica Do you “heart” Old Navy?
