It’s Valentine’s Day! And President’s Day Weekend! Oh, so much time to hang out with your loved ones, with added extra time to fight and whine… Right. You may need find something to do with all that “bonding time.”
Free Museum Monday Various Locations
Valentine’s Day is great and all, but don’t forget your kids are most likely off of school on Monday, February 16th, for a slightly less romantic holiday - President’s day.
Lucky for you, it’s a great day to explore some of your local museums that are holding free events in honor of the old dudes.
The Ronald Reagan Library has founding father fun from 10am-3pm at their Simi Valley location. Music, storytelling, presidential lookalikes, and other fun activities are all free and open to the public. Just be aware, there is a fee if you want to go in the museum to visit their other amazing exhibits.
LACMA is free and open to the public from 11am-5pm. They are offering bilingual tours, performances, programs, and even a UKULELE PLAYER. Seriously, that’s fun stuff.
The Autry Museum is also free, open from 10am-4pm, and offers country flavored fun like panning for gold and making your own green-screen cowboy movie.
Let’s make President’s day special! It's what Washington would have wanted...
